| Meet the Director:Gemma StraussWelcome to Hearts & Minds Early Learning Golden Bay, my name is Gemma and I am the centre director for this beautiful new service. I have been working in Early Childhood Education & Care for the past 20 years since I opened my Family Day Care Business in Secret Harbour in 2002, which I have loved and that gave me the opportunity to offer a great level of service to local families as well as my own children. When the opportunity arose to join Hearts & Minds Early Learning as a centre director, I embraced the chance to take my next step in early childhood education and care, as well as to be able to reach out and become a part of the broader community of Golden Bay and Secret Harbour. I hold a Training & Assessing qualification and have worked in Vocational Education Training, lecturing and educating the Certificate III and Diploma of Early Childhood Education & Care. | Meet the Team:Keeley McPartlanHi, my name is Keeley and I am the Service Administrator for Hearts & Minds Early Learning Golden Bay. I have a diploma in Early Childhood and Education and have worked in the industry for over 7 years, primarily in long daycare in Karratha. I also had the opportunity to work at other centres in the Pilbara and in the Aboriginal community in Wadeye. Since moving to Perth I have worked in OSHC centres being the room leader/educational leader as well as stepping into the Acting Director role and running my own OSHC centre. I have a real passion for working with children and love to make strong connections with them and their families. I look forward to ensuring that the children in the Golden Bay service receive the best quality care, and not only a loving and safe environment but also one where the children and families feel like they belong. When I am not working, I love to spend time with my family going to the beach and trail walking. I very much look forward to meeting all the amazing families and children. Keeley 😊 |
